This DVD is a simple 'moving picture' guide to the main topics of stable management and horse care as described in detail in the Pony Club Manual of Horsemanship. These programmes provide the visual examples which complement the teachings and principles set out and viewers should refer to the book at all times.

All horses and ponies, whatever size, can be unpredictable and we must always be aware that they are stronger than we are. Unless handled firmly and with respect accidents can easily happen to both parties.

Handling & Leading
This programme deals with five main topics:

It shows how to exercise two horses by riding and leading and the principles of stabling and bedding are clearly demonstrated.

Whether you have a hardy outdoor pony or a thoroughbred horse kept in a stable, to make the best of your 'four legged friend' his living conditions must be comfortable and safe - the basic principles are reviewed. 'No foot no horse' is an indispensable saying, the main points of foot care are clearly demonstrated. The DVD also looks at programmes for fittening horses and ponies for hard work and competitions such as horse trials. It tells how to keep the horse in the best possible state of health.
