DetailsHorses communicate differently from humans, and they 'talk' about totally different things. To understand how the equine mind works we must consider what horses 'talk' about, and their motivations.
"Thinking Horse" aims to help you understand the underlying principles of equine thinking and behaviour, and how these influence the way the horse sees the world.
The Thinking Horse DVD brings together 21 simple exercises that will help you start building a more harmonious and understanding relationship with your horse in the key areas of:
- Establishing leadership
- Getting and keeping your horse’s attention
- Teaching the horse to move away from pressure
- Preparing a young or nervous horse for the rider
- Teaching the horse to stand still while you mount
- Establishing control in the saddle
- The “one-rein-stop”.
The DVD shows the exercises as they should be, as well as some of the points to look out for and things that may go wrong along the way!
Approx. running time 63 mins.
