Description

Details

This authorative DVD will demonstrate how a balanced seat should look, how it can be developed and improved, and how riders' mistakes can be corrected.

The first film from the book Balance in Movement explains, in a vivid and practice oriented way, how balance, rhythm of movement, body tension and coordination all work together for a correct rider's seat. Numerous exercises and practical suggestions have turned this film into an internationally recognised authority on the seat and its improvement.

The art of successful riding is the development of harmony to such a degree that, to the onlooker, horse and rider perform in total unity. The riders key to this ideal is not a static seat but one that is capable of making finely tuned movements with which to both communicate and remain in perfect balance with the horse.

From the contents:
  • Riding is Movement
  • Individual strong and weak points
  • How to supple the hip joint
  • Developing a correct leg position
  • Correcting Asymmetries
  • The independant hand of the rider
Susanne von Dietze has particularly perceptive understanding of the rider's seat due to her background in physiotherapy, training and judging. With her cousin, Isabelle von Neumann-Cosel, also a trainer and judge, she has devoted a large part of her life to the education of horses and riders, with a specific emphasis on training each individual rider's seat.
