As seen on TV, Martin Clunes explores the important role of the world’s working horses.

For Martin’s own two young and adored Clydesdales, Ronnie and Bruce, life is soon to change, as they are to start working hard for their supper under expert trainer Robert Sampson in preparation to work on Martin’s Dorset farm.

He meets the Household Cavalry in training their heavy horses, travels to Northern Italy to discover why farmers there are convinced heavy horses are much better for the soil and takes part in a traditional equine competition joining the British Team in the French port of Boulogne. He joins the fishermen in Belgium using horses to trawl for shrimps and in the US meets the Budweiser Clydesdales parade through the streets of New Orleans.

Finally he welcomes Ronnie and Bruce home from hoof camp.

Returns: We are sure you will be delighted with your purchase, however, if for any reason you are not entirely satisfied, we will be happy to give you an exchange or refund.

In the first instance please contact us by email sales@trot-online.co.uk or by phoning 0115 9560077 within 30 days of purchase to arrange a return. Unless your item is faulty you will be liable for the return postage and you will need to return it unused, intact and in its original condition. Once we have received the item it will be inspected before a refund or exchange is authorised and we will inform you by email.
